Product Description

All CURT hitches feature WeatherTite construction, which prevents rusting from the inside out by sealing the main body of the hitch. The receiver tube has an open back end to allow for easy cleaning and for dirt and moisture to pass through and not get trapped as is common with other brands of hitches. All CURT hitches come with mounting hardware and installation instructions. CURT is the only hitch company in the industry that mechanically de-scales all of our hitches before applying a thick powder coat finish, which is baked on for a high-gloss, smooth surface. CURT trailer hitches are simply the most attractive, most durable and toughest hitch on the market. You won’t find better quality and value anywhere!

5Sturdy hitch, great price
By B. Judar
I mean, what can I say other than it works? I wish the hitch stuck out about an inch further, so my bike rack could fold up properly, but I knew the measurements when I got this thing, and I can always buy an extended bike rack adapter. It works really well. Stupid 2009 Rogue bumper sticking out like a fat a**.

4Great Hitch, Good Price, Bad Packaging
By David J Carter Jr
Start with the item itself. I have a 2009 Rogue and this fit dead solid perfect. Install time was about 45 minutes for me and that was counting getting the car up on jack stands so I could fit my fat head under the car to work. It blends in with the car nicely and you cant event notice it's there if you put a cover over the reciever opening. Extremely solid construction and the powder coating was flawless on mine. I have never seen a "factory" hitch for this car but I can't imagine it could look any more tailored than this. It does sit a little far back under the bumper, when aligning my trailer I have to fold down the locking handle on the trailer or it would hit and scratch the bumper. I'm quite pleased.

Now for the packaging, come on Curt. You make a fine finished product, invest in at least some wadded up paper to protect it. The box had one thing in it, the hitch and nothing else (mounting hardware was tucked in the hitch itself). The hitch had t orn through the box in 3 places during shipping (FedEx or Amazon had to tape part of the box back together or it would have fallen out completely). Luckily, the thick powder coating and the grace of God helped keep it from getting scratched all over. On a good note, thank you Curt for selling an american product with AMERICAN SAE sized bolts on not the odd metric size that came on the car. Why in the world do car makers insist on using 18mm metric bolts when 90% of the metric socket sets skip this size and go from 17mm straight to 19mm. I needed the 18mm to install it but the next owner can use their standard socket set if they decide to take it off or change it.

5 star product in a 3 star box, hence the 4 star rating.

5GREAT HITCH.....GREAT PRICE....
By max f
hides well.great quality and finish.easy install, less then half an hour.i can see the point of the reviewer who gave it only 3 stars, but it's not the manufactures fault.it was the shipping co. my box looked like it got dragged behind the truck, but inside it was all ok.it's a pretty heavy piece.drop it hard on the end and i can see the holes not matching up.anyhow i got some input.
*you do not have to do hang the exhaust down to install the hitch.i used the tail pipe to support the hitch while i installed a bolt on the passanger side.
*i used blue loctite on the bolts.why? because i have harleys, i use loctite on everything.why blue? i ran out of red.
*DO NOT SANDWICH THE METAL COVER ON THE PASSANGER SIDE BETWEEN THE HITCH AND THE BODY.this cover covers the emission canister and WILL have to be removed one day to do testing.remove the cover completely, install the hitch minus the bolt on the passanger side closest to the front, then reinstall the cover on top of the hitch using the last mounting bolt. hope this helps.
