jeep wrangler winch

i purchased this winch and a winch mount from amazon about 2 years ago. i have used the winch a few times, and have yet to be disappointed. it is not a 'name brand' winch like warn or even smittybilt, but it works great. i use it with the little key chain remote control. i have winched my jeep out of trouble a couple of times, also i have used it to winch a fallen tree when i was cutting firewood. it hasnt failed me yet. my only complaint is that it doesnt weather very well...what i mean is that some rust, just surface, has started since i didnt use a winch cover. i would recommend one if you care about stuff like that. mine stays covered in mud, so it doesnt bother me very much, just thought i'd say what i thought anyone would want to know. i would recommend this winch to anyone looking to save some cash or just want a decent winch.

Update 1.: Nov. 22nd, I had an issue with a part of My purchase, after a bit of phone and e-mail Juggling, Vortex Direct resolved My issue; With Complete Satisfaction!!!

Update 2.: Nov. 25th, I installed the winch on My `90 K5 Blazer, promptly hooked up to a wheeless 1 1/2 ton truck body(Just minus the wheels & tires)and drug it 40 feet across the pasture on rather soft ground with JUST the winch, the winch NEVER so much as groaned. I reckon for product And service I fully recommend Vortex Direct.

Power wench

This thing is wonderful and an excellent price. My husband burned his up doing the job he does and only had 3k lbs so I doubled it and got him this one for Christmas he was so happy.
