not for civic hatch

used the amazon drop down menu to find a hitch for my civic hatch, this came up and so i ordered it. came in and i tried to install it onto the car.. it will NOT fit.. also the item pictured is different then the item received. if u look at where they want u to bolt it onto the car, you'll clearly see that one side wont clear the exhaust. i thought maybe it needs to be bolted onto the bumper reinforcement, but there are no holes in the reinforcement. the only hitch that will work is the "curt 11209" that will require u to drill your bumper reinforcement along with spare tire well.. but thats pretty much the only option if you want a hitch on your civic hatch

Not the hitch in the photo.

This isn't the hitch in the photo, not by a long shot, but it bolted right up to my 1999 Civic HX, and it seems well made. It is heavy enough. See the photos I am uploading. I repeat, this is not the hitch in the photo. I'm giving it only four stars for that. Perfect Fit! 1996 Honda Civic EX Coupe

Hitch is completely assembled from the factory (1 solid unit), and comes with the mounting hardware, trailer receiver (part the ball attaches to), and the receiver pin.

The ONLY other items you will need to buy is a ball for the receiver & the wiring.

I bought this w/Amazon Prime 1-day shipping for only $3.99 extra. It was TO MY DOOR in less than 20 hours from Arizona to Virginia!!

Very easy to install, and I have already pulled a 4x8 trailer with no issues.
